About
Helping Clinicians See Every Patient Fully

Meet Tanya
Tanya brings to every training and consulting relationship a rare convergence of lived experience: as a Black woman, a minister, a wellness practitioner, a person with a late ADHD diagnosis, an ADHD nonprofit CEO, and a federal healthcare advocate with over 30 years of policy and advocacy experience. She has served as faculty with the American Academy of Pediatrics on its ADHD clinician training and is a contributing author on the upcoming World Federation of ADHD International Consensus Statement. This is not a background assembled for credibility. It is a life lived at the intersection of every dimension this work requires.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a certificate program?
No. There is no certificate at the end of this journey. What I'm offering cannot be summed up in a credential. This is personal work. Personal investment in becoming the clinician who sees every patient fully. Who sees the BIPOC patients who have been going unseen, unheard, and downright dismissed in healthcare for way too long. Change starts with you, and it manifests in every room you walk into after that.
Who is this for?
This work is for clinicians who already know something in healthcare isn't working the way it should for BIPOC patients. Who want to actually be part of the solution, not just perform like you are. If you're ready to tackle some hard questions about your own biases and blind spots, get some honest correction without shame, and truly do the work of becoming culturally conscious in your practice, then this work is for you.
What's the difference between training and retainer consulting?
The training is where your self examination begins. You learn the foundational awareness and skills that change how you see your patients and how you show up for them. Retainer consulting is where that growth continues to live long after the training has finished. Where we can talk through real situations that come up in your practice. Many clinicians come to me for the training and then continue with me on retainer because this work is not a one and done deal.
What changes for my practice after working with me?
Studies show that clinicians who complete cultural competence training leave with stronger knowledge, attitudes, and skills surrounding the provision of cross cultural care. From there patients report higher satisfaction and increased trust with their provider. Research has not shown, though many trainers promise it, a measurable increase in hard clinical outcomes like labs or mortality. I feel it is important to be honest with you rather than making claims I can't back up. What I can tell you is this. When you do the inner work to become culturally conscious you create the kind of trusting relationship that keeps patients engaged in their own care. Actually showing up. We know that risk of patients avoiding care because of discrimination they experienced in healthcare settings is real. But trust changes that. Trust changes the room. How your team works together. How patients open up. How safe people feel being seen fully by you.
